2008 Family Picnic
Written by Mike Dodge

It has been the tradition (since 2001 at least!) that every summer the Lodge hosts a family picnic for all Brothers, friends, and family who wish to attend.  The rules are simple: the Lodge provides the hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, condiments, and drinks, and everyone else brings either a salad or a dessert.  This picnic is usually held at our August Communication, and is proceeded by a very QUICK business meeting.

This gives our families a chance to come on down and see each other, and lets our wives and children meet the other men (and their families) who we spend time with.

It is also an opportunity for some of our "snowbirds" to reconnect with their Brothers who DON'T migrate to warmer climtes during the winter months.

We look at this as a chance to have some fun.  We spend a great deal of time doing fundraising during the spring and fall, and this is a chance to just sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labors.

Of course SOMEBODY has to do the cooking!

Lack of food or choices is NEVER a problem!

So if you are a Brother and are in the neighborhood, come one down!  This isn't limited to Putnam #46 members only - just bring a salad or dessert and come join us.
